Machine Maintenance

There are a number of steps that will keep your
machine & grinder clean and working well:

  • Remove the drip tray and water container. These can be washed in some warm soapy water (do not use any abrasive solution).

  • The shower plate and surrounding seal can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

  • The outer body of your machine can be wiped down with a clean damp cloth.

  • If you have not used your machine for a while you may want to flush out any stale water. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water and draw it into your machine by drawing off hot water by turning on the hot water/coffee switch.

  • After each use wipe down the outside of the steam wand with a damp cloth. "Purge" the steam wand (run some steam through it, directing the wand into the drip tray for safety)

When you have finished making your drinks you can remove the Turbo-frother tube and wash thoroughly, paying particular attention to clean the fine air intake hole groove near the top.

  • Be careful when cleaning your grinder not to introduce any moisture that may damage it. The best way to clean it is to use a small dry brush to dust down any coffee grounds.

  • Don’t use chemicals or scourers to clean the outside of your machine, just use a damp cloth and buff straight afterwards with a dry cloth.
