The average employee will consume three cups of coffee during a working day, according to a new study.
The poll, administered by Mars Drinks with the aim of discovering what an average working day consists of, has revealed just how important a cup of joe is to British employees.
It was also discovered that a lack of coffee is one of the main reasons that British employees will lose their temper at work.
The Mail Online report that workers will only get angry once a day on average - but coffee machines breaking down and workers not making their fair share of coffee were both listed as common reasons for tempers flaring in the poll.
The results might encourage employers to ensure that they invest in the best coffee machine they can afford to buy.
Other findings included the fact that the average commute to work lasts 20 minutes and finished at 8.09 am. It was estimated that workers spend an average of £3.23 on a 25 minute lunch break.
Reacting to the figures in an interview with Wales Online, Admiral admin worker Deb Longley agreed that the figures represented an average working day at her company.
She said: “We don’t have arguments in our team. We have got a good team - but we drink gallons of coffee, yes.”
