Coffee machine buyers should think carefully about how they take their coffee, so that they only pay for features they use.

Plugged In pointed out that a person’s consumption habits will play a key role in deciding which machine they should buy, since there are a huge variety of options available.

Among the questions people should ask themselves is whether they like to vary their coffee style or if they have a favourite such as latte that they stick to. It is also important to consider how many cups drinkers tend to make when they switch the coffee machine on, since there are different sizes.

“With an abundance of choice on the market these days, deciding which coffee maker to opt for has never been harder,” claimed the website, adding that price, ease of use and a number of other factors need to be taken into account before a purchase is made.

One coffee maker to receive praise this week from Which? was the metallic Gaggia Classic, which is simpler to use than many alternatives, according to the consumer watchdog.

It functions from just three switches - on/off; steam; coffee - and the online reviewer was also complimentary about the aesthetics of the coffee machine.
