A blog has offered coffee lovers a savings strategy for upgrading their coffee machine without losing out on their caffeine hit.
ROASTe.com pointed out that the cost of buying a drink at a local café far exceeds how much people pay to make a coffee at home, so an effective way of building up funds is for individuals to put aside the difference every time they choose to enjoy one in their house rather than out and about.
It went on to note that even if consumers can only save a small amount each week, this will soon add up and allow them to buy a new coffee machine.
The blog also advised people that they could also benefit from a wider variety of coffees and better quality at home compared to many cafés, so the financial savings made are only part of the story.
Furthermore, writing for Lifehacker, Ruben Schade noted that there are all sorts of techniques that supposedly save people money in their everyday lives. He did stress that drinking coffee at home is definitely a valid one, with a recent study proving this.
He cited research by The Simple Dollar showing that even for people who buy high-end coffee beans for their home, the savings are significant.
