The residents of Falmouth are to held the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association with nothing more than a coffee machine and a bit of community spirit.

According to World Coffee News, a coffee morning will be held on Thursday in the King Charles the Martyr Church. All funds raised will go directly to the organisation, which trains guide dogs.

World Coffee News writer Steve confirmed the news, stating: “In time honoured tradition, a coffee morning is going to be held in Falmouth, Cornwall this week.

“As well as the social nature of the occasion, plus the opportunity to quaff some nice coffee and nibble on some choice refreshments, if you choose to attend the event, you will also be helping a very deserving cause.  This organisation is extremely important for those with visual impairments, whether complete blindness or partially-sighted people.”

However the Falmouth residents aren’t the only ones who will be whipping out the cappuccino maker in aid of a good cause this month, as reports confirmed locals in Leamington will be, too.

The Leamington Courier revealed that staff from Blythe Liggins Solicitors will be holding a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on September 30th.

A spokesperson for the firm, Andrew Brooks, said the workforce hoped to impress each other with their coffee-making and baking skills. He added that he had even been tuning into food programmes in a bid to brush up.
