Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has released his own brand of coffee, with the proceeds going to charity, musicrooms.net reports.
The Australian actor - star of X-Men and Real Steel - revealed that the idea for a charity came to him on a recent visit to Ethiopia where he met framers who changed his whole outlook on the world.
Seeing the work undertaken by the farmers, he decided to set up a charity whereby African blend coffee could be sold and the profits go straight to the farmers.
Whilst the coffee has not yet been released, it is expected that the celebrity affiliation will have people all over the world clamouring to source some for their own coffee machine.
Upon returning from his trip to Ethiopia, Jackman got in touch with fair trade charity The Laughing Man and requested to begin a partnership with them.
The Laughing Man already produce fair trade tea, coffee and chocolate, donating 100 per cent of the profits to workers in poverty-stricken countries.
Speaking of the reason for his decision, Jackman told contactmusic.com: “I met a man who changed the way I look at the world.
“As [coffee farmer] Dukale and I planted coffee trees together, I began to see the potential for one man’s hard work to transform and entire community. While working with Dukale that day, I was so inspired by what I learned from him and his community I made Dukale a promise to do my bit to help.
