Those working in creative roles in Britain make three hot drinks per day on average, according to research published by Mars Drink UK.

Although these creative specialists prefer to eat their lunch at their desks, they make time to step away in order to visit the coffee machine or kettle.

Their first hot drink of the day might well be fairly early on, as Mars Drink UK also revealed that the typical creative worker gets into the office by 8.09am latest; working for, on average, nine hours and 13 minutes.

“Our results show that we are working longer hours than ever, but this has not dented our enjoyment of the job,” Jenni Morgan, a Mars Drink UK representative, told How-do.co.uk.

“It is also very interesting to learn that we [creative specialists] are, on the whole, a very agreeable lot who prefer to get along with colleagues and bosses rather than spend the day arguing and moaning,” Morgan added. Although not proven, this could be partly due to the comfort provided by a hot cup of tea or coffee.

The Mars Drinks UK research also revealed that on average, these creative types leave the office at 5.22pm; before embarking on their half-hour or more commute home. According to Marieclaire.co.uk, one of their biggest grips is their fellow employees not making their “fair share” of hot drinks, in addition to computers not working properly and people’s pens being stolen.
